Summary of bargaining October 15, 2024
Session began at 8:30 a.m.
County Administrator Rachel McEneny, who was not previously involved in negotiations, joined the County management team and will continue to participate until a contract is ratified.
At the beginning of the day, 12 articles of the contract were still to be agreed upon. In 11.5 hours of mediated negotiation the parties reached tentative agreement (TA) on four articles:
Article 7 – Hours of Work & Overtime
Article 9 – Leave Due to Disaster or Adverse Weather Conditions
Article 10 – Vacation Leave
Article 11 – Sick Leave
The two parties agreed to meet on November 1, 2024 to continue discussions on the eight (8) articles still to be agreed upon.
Session concluded around 8:00 p.m.
