Summary of Bargaining: November 7, 2024

Representatives of Benton County management and AFSCME Local 2064 met on Thursday, Nov. 7 to continue negotiating the terms of a contract for union members. In about 12 hours of mediation, the two parties came closer together on the term of the contract and some language in other articles. While AFSCME made some movement on their wages proposal, the parties still face significant differences.

Benton County representatives look forward to reconvening on Tuesday, Nov. 12 to try to reach agreement on economics and the remaining unresolved articles in the contract.
