Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in Benton County
The Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Program for Benton County began in 2021. Benton County is committed to equitably serving all members of the community and welcomes ideas which value the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in every aspect of County governance, services, and operations to County residents and visitors.
Benton County is committed to providing all people with equitable access to it’s programs and services, including fair and equitable employment opportunities. Benton County employees will treat all people with dignity and respect, and will not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, political or religious affiliation, physical or mental disability, or military status.
Benton County recognizes a diverse workforce is necessary to represent the community we serve. Working together, the County’s workforce aims to create an atmosphere of respect, fairness, equity, and collaboration that reflects our rich and multicultural community. Through this collaborative effort, we will effectively achieve our mission to promote a safe and nurturing environment where Oregon community members can live and thrive.
