November 10 Veterans Day Ceremony and Proclamation

Benton County will recognize Veterans Day with a special ceremony during the Board of Commissioners meeting on Monday, Nov. 10 at 9 a.m.

Community members are invited to observe the ceremony in person at the Kalapuya Building, 4500 SW Research Way in Corvallis, or watch online.

The ceremony will feature a Color Guard presented by Oregon State University Air Force ROTC cadets and a performance of the National Anthem by OSU music student Kenzie Singiser. Benton County Lead Veterans Service Officer Mark Lapinskas will read the official Veterans Day proclamation and share remarks on the County’s ongoing support for veterans.

Craig Frangente, regional chair for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), will speak about efforts to support service members in their civilian careers. The County is also honored to welcome COL Paul Dyer of the Oregon National Guard, Commander of the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, who will share reflections on service and leadership.
