Update – October 6, 2023 – Benton County welcomes the new County Administrator, celebrates unity and diversity in 2023 Hispanic Heritage Month with proclamation and gathering, brings regional partners together in First-time Benton County event to safeguard against flooding, accepts applications for agricultural wildlife protection grant, and more.

September 2023 – Following the May 16, 2023, Special Election, the Board of Commissioners are seeking feedback from voters about bond measure 2-140, Bonds for Community Safety, Mental Health, and Homelessness Services Facilities.

Update – August 23, 2023 – Benton County is pleased to announce the availability of its Biennium Report for 2021 through 2023, a comprehensive report highlighting our county’s activities, achievements, and future.

Update – August 11, 2023 – Benton County Fire Restrictions starting Saturday in response to fire danger.

Update – July 25, 2023 – Benton County is pleased to announce Rachel McEneny has been offered and accepted the position of County Administrator. After an extensive selection process, the County formally extended an offer that McEneny has accepted. The anticipated start date for the position is Oct. 2.

Update – June 26, 2023 – Benton County is pleased to announce an upcoming event, “Meet the County Administrator Finalists,” providing community members with an opportunity to interact with the final three candidates for the position of County Administrator.

June 2023 – The Benton County “Talks Trash” Solid Waste Process Workgroup delivered their final report to the Board of Commissioners, and the Board also reviewed a Draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for a comprehensive Sustainable Materials Management Plan and directed staff to develop a strategy for engaging the community in a refined RFP consistent with County values.

May 2023 – Solid waste process workgroup open house, County seeks community input into regional Community Health Improvement Plan and more.

April 2023 – Update – Budget Committee Seeks Appointee, Commissioners visit with Speaker Rayfield, and more.

April 2023 – Benton County is inviting the public to an open house on April 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kalapuya Building in Corvallis hosted by the Benton County Talks Trash Solid Waste Process Workgroup.

March 2023 – U.S. Representative Val Hoyle visits City and County leaders in Corvallis.

February 2023 – Justice System Improvement Program Open House, May 2023 bond measure, annual spraying program, and more.

January 2023 – A thank you to our partners, elected officials are sworn in, sandbag locations, and more.
